Abstract
Am 16. August 2012 verstarb Prof. Dr. phil. Claus Vogel in Saarbrücken im Alter von 79 Jahren. Er war ordentliches Mitglied der Nordrhein-Westfälischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, gewählter Fellow der Royal Asiatic Society, London, Vorstandsvorsitzender der Helmuth von Glasenapp Stiftung, aber auch seit mehr als einem halben Jahrhundert Mitglied der DMG.
