Abstract
In der Indologie war die Bedeutung der Textkritik vergleichsweise unbestritten, da die Erschließung neuer Textquellen durch Erstausgaben ein drängendes Forschungsdesiderat darstellte und weiterhin darstellt. Die Methodendiskussion nahm keinen breiten Raum ein und fand nur auf der Ebene der Fachwissenschaft statt.
