Abstract
Narendra Modi ist ein identitärer Überzeugungstäter. Seit 2014 regiert er Indien mit einer absoluten Mehrheit seiner Bharatya Janata Party (BJP). Unter der Safran-Flagge als Symbol des Hindu-Chauvinismus betreibt Modi eine autoritäre Politik der Gleichschaltung öffentlicher Institutionen und ihrer Säuberung von kritischen und alternativen Kräften. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf den Universitäten.
