Abstract
Der Autor analysiert das Ergebnis der Parlamentswahlen in Indien 2009. Untersucht werden wahlentscheidende Faktoren sowie Auswirkungen des Wahlergebnisses. Der Schwerpunkt des Aufsatzes liegt auf den regionalen Ergebnissen in den wichtigsten Bundesstaaten. Hierbei wird der Frage nachgedanken, welche Implikationen sich aus den regionalen Resultaten ergeben. Abschließend gibt der Autor einen Ausblick auf mögliche längerfristige Trends.
