Abstract
Indien rüstet auf und ist derzeit der lukrativste Markt für Rüstungsaufträge weltweit. Seit 2007 importiert kein anderes Land mehr Rüstungsartikel als der Subkontinent. Angesichts laufender und zukünftiger Rüstungsgeschäfte Indiens und der militärischen Aufrüstung der Nachbarstaaten China und Pakistan wird bisweilen ein Wettrüsten in Asien befürchtet.
