Abstract
The Community Appraisal & Motivation Programme (CAMP) has been conducting opinion polls of the people of FATA since 2007. The goal of the reports is to reveal the thinking and the opinions of the people so that policy makers and other influential actors will have useful, actionable information. This poll is the second attempt to provide a better understanding of what local people want – allowing their views to influence the policy debate in Peshawar, Islamabad and overseas. The poll of 2,000 adults was conducted in seven tribal agencies and three Frontier Regions of the FATA. The poll used proportionate stratified sampling, and included 29.1 % women.
