Abstract

Der Autor befasst sich in diesem Beitrag mit dem Gebrauch von Demonstrativpronomen in der Chantel-Sprache, eine Tamang-Sprache der tibetobirmanischen Sprachfamilie, die in Zentralnepal gesprochen wird. In dieser Sprache werden keine Artikel benutzt, die besondere Hervorhebung bestimmt Wörter wird durch Demonstrativpronomen ausgedrückt. Zudem werden sog. 'doppelte Demonstrativpronomen' gebildet, denen eine deiktische Funktion zukommt.

Translation of abstract (English)

In this essay the author describes and explaines the construction and use of the so called douple demonstratives in the Chantyal, a Tamangic language of the Tibeto-Burman language family spoken in the Central Nepal region. These demonstratives are used as deitic words, orientational features of human languages to have reference to points in time, space, and the speaking event between interlocutors.
