Abstract
Der Autor berichtet in diesem Beitrag über seine Eindrücke der fünften Europäischen Hindu-Konferenz, die zwischen dem 28. und 30. August 1992 in Frankfurt stattfand. Dabei handelte es sich nicht um eine wissenschaftliche Tagung, sondern eine von der hindu-nationalistischen Organisation Vishva Hindu Parishad organisierte Veranstaltung, die sich speziell an im Ausland lebende Inder richtete. Dementsprechend diente sie der Stärkung einer Hindu-Identität. In den jeweiligen Vorträgen wurden zudem die Vorzüge des Hinduismus betont.
Translation of abstract (English)
In this essay the authore reports his impressions of the 5th European Hindu Conference, organised by the Vishva Hindu Parishad Section in Germany. The congress took place between 28th and 30th of August 1992 in Frankurt/Main. It was a non-academic event for non-resident Indians and People of Indian origin. Thus, all conference lecturers emphasised the strongs and advantages of Hinduism.
